ENR Technologies Pocket IR 56k Modem

The PIR5600 is a pocket sized 56k modem with an infrared interface. It allows communication between PDAs, Smart phones and Laptops without the need of a driver installation. The modem driver is supported in Windows Mobile and Palm devices and takes seconds to enable. It is a great accessory for both current and legacy devices and is rugged enough to be deployed in the field or office environments. The processor packs a powerful punch and runs one of the most widely used IrDA software stacks. The PIR5600 features a Conexant chipset and allows the modem to operate on any phone line with a proper dial tone. The front panel features 6 LED indicators displaying the modems operation. The back panel has the dual RJ-11 jacks, power jack and on off button. The modem is RoHS compliant and uses high grade components and materials to ensure long life and has been designed and manufactured in the US. We offer a 3 year warranty for the product. The advantage of the IrDA port is that it operated wirelessly from the host PDA or laptop with a range of up to 3 meters eliminating unnecessary wear and tear on the PDA and leaving the expansion slots available for other accessories.
